As part of the *Buy America Build America* program, this XeteX Basis of Design replacement project highlights one of 14 custom air handling units (AHUs) for an international airport renovation. It features an all-aluminum construction with a highly corrosion resistant design.

## Construction

- Outdoor unit with **thermal break construction**
- 4” double wall casing with injected foam (R-value 28) insulation 
    - 0.063” **aluminum exterior casing** with acrylic paint
    - 0.050” **aluminum interior casing**
- 6” welded **structural aluminum base frame** with acrylic paint and **lining along bottom**
- **Aluminum 0.063 floor** with 2” injected foam (R-value 14) insulation
- **2” upturn lip aluminum tread plate floor**

- **Full unit controls**
- **Threaded rigid aluminum conduit throughout entire unit**
- **NEMA 4x junction boxes suitable for wash down pressure washer construction**
- **Six zone SA damper**
- **A secondary gasket and third door handle added to enhance leakage resistance, reduce airflow escaping, and minimize contaminants within unit to deliver improved air quality**
- Plumbing and electrical chase
- SA/EA PIEZO flow rings
