XeteX designed and manufactured a custom indoor energy recovery unit (ERU) specifically for a 26-story renovated downtown high-rise that accommodates both condominiums and office spaces.

To address the building’s modernization needs, XeteX replaced the 1980s HVAC infrastructure with a packaged DX water source heat pump (WSHP) system, an enthalpy energy wheel, and high-efficiency filters, and more.

Given the constraints of limited renovation and mechanical space, the solution required a split-section unit design, allowing the ERU to be transported in sections and fully reassembled within the building.

The result is an indoor custom ERU that delivers energy-efficient, year-round climate control and enhanced indoor air quality for both residents and office occupants.

## Construction

- Indoor **five-section split unit**
- 2” double wall **thermal break construction** with injected foam (R-value 14) insulation 
    - 18ga galvanneal outer casing with acrylic paint
    - 20ga galvanized interior casing
- Welded 8” C-channel structural steel base frame with lifting lugs & acrylic paint
- 16ga galvanized floor with 2” injected foam (R-value 14) insulation
- 304 SS drain pan
