The new facility will double capacity, add jobs, and meet growing customer demands for high-quality custom air handling and energy recovery ventilation products across North America.

XeteX-GroundBreaking-Event

Holmen, WI (August 2024)—XeteX celebrates its 40th anniversary and holds the groundbreaking of its new factory on Friday, August 2nd.

New Manufacturing Facility

Spanning over 116,000 square feet, the state-of-the-art manufacturing facility on 13 acres will enable XeteX to double its capacity. By the time the facility opens in July 2025, XeteX will have hired an additional 20 employees, bringing the total company headcount to 200 with plans to add over 30 additional jobs in Holmen over the next three years. Its corporate headquarters will remain in Coon Rapids, MN.

With its inception dating back to 1984, XeteX saw significant evolution under the ownership of Keith and Mary Hohenstein from 2003 to 2022. During this time, the company solidified its reputation as a high-quality Midwest manufacturer of air handling and energy recovery ventilation equipment. In a strategic move, XeteX established AIRotor, LLC in 2005, focusing on energy recovery ventilation equipment, and later acquired ITM4 in 2014, a company specializing in HVAC access doors, wall panels, and viewports.

The appointment of Andrew Wilcox as CEO in 2016 marked a turning point for XeteX, propelling the company towards unprecedented growth. Over the span of eight years, XeteX evolved into a prominent HVAC solutions partner across North America by “Helping Buildings Breathe Better,” the company’s purpose statement, through the design and manufacturing of high-quality custom air handling and energy recovery ventilation equipment. During this time, XeteX also launched the AVENTUS brand of semi-custom energy recovery ventilators. This remarkable growth led XeteX to be recognized as an eight-time Inc 5000 honoree, solidifying its position as one of America's fastest-growing privately held companies.

In 2022, Brass Ring Capital assumed majority ownership of XeteX, with the Hohenstein's retaining partial ownership. Following this transition, Brass Ring Capital made strategic investments in new manufacturing equipment, paving the way for the development of this new manufacturing facility in Holmen, WI to accommodate the company’s continued growth. Located approximately 18-miles north of the current factory in La Crosse, WI, the Holmen facility will signify a new chapter of growth and innovation for XeteX.

“Our new facility in the friendly community of Holmen will represent a major milestone in our company’s growth. Its cutting-edge design will not only maximize efficiency but also offer the space needed to double our capacity,” says XeteX CEO Andrew Wilcox. “Just as crucial, this new manufacturing plant will create an excellent work environment for our employees. Their commitment to our core values of Integrity, Excellence, Collaboration, Autonomy, and Customer Focus is the true driving force behind our expansion.”
